Cookie Policy
Cookies and similar technologies used on the Airpdf website, and how to change your choices.
Last updated: October 6, 2026
1. What they are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as localStorage, do the same job; here we call them all “cookies”. Some are technical: the site needs them to work and they don’t require consent. The others are only set if you accept them.
2. Technical cookies, always on
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
airpdf-consent-v1 | Airpdf (localStorage) | remembers your cookie choice, so we don’t ask on every page | 6 months |
_cfuvid, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | protect the site from automated traffic and abuse | cf_clearance 30 minutes; _cfuvid as set by Cloudflare, see its cookie page |
3. Analytics, only with your consent
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_<id>_posthog (cookie and localStorage) | PostHog, EU region | recognises your browser across visits to count page views and clicks, and records the session (mouse movements and clicks on the page) with every form field masked, including the payloads you paste into the sandbox | 1 year |
Until you accept, PostHog collects analytics and records the session without storing anything in your browser: the visit identifier lives only in the page's memory and is gone when you close it. The cookie above is set only after you consent. If you reject or withdraw consent, recording stops and PostHog clears its storage. Details in the Privacy Policy.
The site has no advertising cookies and no social media pixels.
4. The dashboard
The dashboard at the app. address uses a technical session cookie, _airpdf_key, to keep you signed in, and stores your light or dark theme in localStorage. Its sign-in and sign-up forms use Google reCAPTCHA to keep bots out; Google may set its own cookies there, as described in Google’s privacy policy.
5. How to choose and change your mind
On your first visit the banner asks what you accept: “Accept” and “Reject” carry the same weight, and closing the banner with the X counts as a rejection. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, or here:
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again on your next visit.
